Hi, I am Theresa - an Austrian designer. © 2015 – 2020
I do design of any kind, concepts + content. Collaboration is king; I am open for commissions too! Feel free say hello, so glad the WWW brought you here. ☯ based in The Hague, Netherlands and Vienna, Austria.
Currently finishing my MA at the Design Institute at Die Angewandte – University of Applied Arts (Vienna, AUT) after graduating as a BA Graphic Designer from KABK – Royal Academy of Art (The Hague, NL).
Royal Academy of Art The Hague, NL
If I remember well, this project started because you realised that working on prestigious cultural assignments lowers your chance of achieving the bourgeois well-off existence, which according to Western conventions comprises a house, backyard and a 65-zoll 4K TV. The contradiction is that you never wanted this house; as a child you drew this house sloppily probably on purpose.
You’re Welcome! grapples with existential remnants of the dream of having a stable existence when satisfaction became our salary. 60 video clips of quarry explosions form the backdrop to a promised land and dreams gone by.
Conceptual Supervision: Thomas Buxo, Silvio Lorusso, Ruben Pater, Agata Jaworska

Body of Protest –
50 years of Amnesty International
Models of Opinion is a collection of miniature figurines which embody gestures of civil protest. By presenting a rich variety of body postures categorising them based upon their political message the project reflects critically on the legal implications of Article 212.1, which criminalizes peaceful protest in Russia. The presentation of an army of figurines refers to historical military miniatures that display scenes of war rather than acts of humanity. Ordinary people with opinions are heroes of our time for standing up. This Army should soon be found in future kids rooms instead.

He was awarded with the Ambassador of Conscience Award 2018 that we designed. Watch the akward video of us trying to explain the project <––
Genesis is a headline script typeface designed in 2017 inspired by Foehn. Foehn is a type of dry, warm, down-slope wind that occurs in the lee (downwind side) of a mountain range. The font specimen contains the first 27 chapters of the original Genesis, inspirations and process images.

Montavon is a Renaissance Revival designed in 2017. The original typeface was found in a book called Benedictus Redivivus. The book was written and published at the place I grew up: Vorarlberg. Benedictus Redivivus could be translated into blessed reincarnation (dt. gesegnete Regenerierung). The original book has been published 1679 by a Swiss Benedictine polymath, Humanist and historical writer Gabriel Bucelin. The details of the typeface seem to have french origins, the punch cutter might have been Simon de Collines, but who knows........asdfjlkasjdflöasdfjlöasdfj!

Lemonaid makes lemonade the way it should be. From fresh juice, organic cultivation and fair trade. By taking a good look at the Lemonaid bottle, it is easy to draw attention to the role model function of the brand. We developed a print campaign that suits Leomonaids core values in a strong yet subtle way.

Identity Volkstheater Wien
Since each piece is directed by a different director, each one is also given an individual visual implementation. For this purpose, Traktor gathered 20 artists, photographers and illustrators who, based on a briefing on the respective work, designed their pictures to match. The titles of the pieces are integrated into the pictures. The redesign includes a new identity for Volkstheater - since "Volk" means "the people" we decided to bring a more human aspect into the new brand which includes a subtle face. The main logo idea generates a playground for Volkstheater's side-houses: Volx Margareten, Volkstheater Bezirke, etc.

Zusjes Vintage is scheming their fashion according to colors not categories
For the collaborative project with the shop we decided to document Sanne and Monieks first collection by capturing every single piece. By strictly following their inventory the end result are 420 scans of clothes in a wonderful gradient. The Vintage Shops first Lookbook was born, Summer Collection 2017. We continued working together and extend the idea into installations and series of posters. At the opening we presented a fashion showing 10 models each dressed in one color and a glitter mask.
Yes, we provide color advice! Yes, we have a wonderful selection of floral patterns! Yes, we have velvet blue in three or more different tones! Jeans Jackets too! Yes, there will be glitter and yes, it will shine! Also know that every garment is carefully selected during our periodical dress-up sessions! – The Zusjes

27 EU COUNTRIES COMPARED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION ??
How complex is the organisation of information? What is the first article? what is the historical context? What are the most frequent words used? How elaborate is the content? To which issues is the priority given?
In the context of moving towards the new global citizenship, where all sorts of nation based distinctions are slowly being merged, we have to bring up to the surface, what lays in the ground of our diversity.
EU COHERENCE brings the constitution to a light, manifest its importance, and question its composition. By looking closely at the constitutions of EU-countries, it is prominent how much they differ in prioritising provisions. Constitution itself becomes a statement towards the outside world and a guidance for its citizens. “... a constitution can act as a powerful symbol of national identity. It can acquire the status of culturally significant symbol.”

How do I know you understand? These are inserts, they are dead.
The goal is to arrange the sentence in a way where the whitespace is used in the most efficient manner. In order to do this, the letters can be treated as independent objects, so the readability of the sentence is not a priority.
1. Specify the page size to A0
2. typeface: Neue Hass Grotesk Display Roman
3. Don’t make guidelines or a grid structure
4. Treat the letters as an image. Shapes, instead of letters.[you maybe rotate them in any direction that is necessary]
5. Letters (objects) can not touch each other. white space must surround all of their parts.
6. The order of the letters can shift as well, and don’t necessarily have to follow the syntactic structure.
7. Margins will be proportional to the white space between the letters
8. Type size will be the same for all letters. It will depende on how youarrange the letters.
9. The size of the page A0 and the size of the typeface (x) must be proportional in order to fill the white space in the most efficient way.

Fighting the harmful content – PhotoDNA conquers child pornography in the web
Microsoft began sharing the first release of PhotoDNA as an on-premise technology in 2009. Since then, this technology has helped curb the exploitation of children around the world by detecting millions of illegal images for reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other appropriate authorities. The operation generates a description of an image in human readable language with complete sentences.
I am still learning so sometimes I get things wrong is an experiment (publication) feeding CaptionBot with curated content of @uglydesign (Instagram, favourite account). @Uglydesign collects weird and questionable images or objects, all up-to-then over 400 images were used and analyzed. It is interesting how CaptionBot talks, "it" is still learning so sometimes it get things wrong - just like a child. By feeding CaptionBot this experiment helped improving the programs accuracy and therefore fighting against harmful content of the internet.

ULTRA CLUB IS A NON-PROFIT ADVERTISING AGENCY
Ultra Club is made up of designers. With our expertise, we want to offer design-related services for local companies. Ultimately, it's about manifesting another economy: a transaction, which is not based on money but on other intangibles. A code of conduct will be the basis for the creation of trust, respect and reputation for future perspectives:
What we do is selfish - and that's a good thing. ## We do not go to a neighborhood to explore the neighborhood, not to solve their problems. ## We strive for cooperation on the level of common values. ##
"The Ultraclub is a non-profit advertising agency that has set itself the goal of generating renewed interest in the Boekhorststraat in The Hague. The first project of the Ultraclub is the BoekhorstKrant, a publication about the shops of the Boekhorststraat made in close collaboration with 42 of its retailers. In addition to its independent publicity function, this newspaper also opened the conversation between the shopkeepers and the Ultraclub, from which a series of new projects have emerged that help retailers or the environment in a concrete way through graphic design."

You see me
The Kirchentag is a lay organization of Protestant believers in Germany. The motto of the Kirchentag 2017 "You see me" should be translated visually and in terms of content. A fan on the Internet writes: "The whole city is paved with commercial advertising, everywhere hang the orange posters around, for months, I was on the organizers in biting colors on the fact that the Protestant churches in Germany now celebrate 500 years Luther." - Willhelm Ahrendt

Multiple Identities Fatfaces RBTT @Chaumont
On Friday May 19 2017, the Salle des Fêtes in Chaumont (FR) hosted the third edition of the ULTRATATANE project which invites international artists to perform at the closing party of Festival international de l'affiche et du graphisme de Chaumont. Fatface was a visual performance including 2 big faces that changed their identity throughout the show, which questions the congruence of an artist on the stage. The two big heads have been prerecorded and controlled by code including two keyboards where each key was connected to a different short gif of the face Rebe or TT. The 200 animations were categorized in politicians, kids, robots and drag queens. During this performance both wireless keyboards were passed to different people who had the power to adapt the identity on the stage next to/ sound by Torus ✌️
